Soy wax is completely natural and burns cooler then parrafin wax, therefore increasing the burning time of your candle. Soy wax is non-toxic, it is an excellent choice for those who wish to burn environmentally friendly candles.

Our burn time is calculated based on the burning for the recommended 2-4 hours at a time. If you burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time your candle will burn faster, and will decrease the overall burn time of your candle. This is because the jar heats up to the hotter than recommended temperature, resulting in the wax melting faster. To get the most out of your burn time, we recommend not burning your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.

Prior to lighting your candle and in-between burns, ensure the wick is no longer than 5mm in length, untrimmed wicks will cause smoke and darken the inside of your glass. If there is a black residue on the inside of your candle jar, dampen paper towel and wipe clean.

The first thing to know is that you should never put the candle out by placing the plastic lid on the jar. Blowing out the candle is obvious option or a snuffer tool, then place your lid over to minimalize the smoke.

It is imperative that the first burn is at least 2-3 hours to ensure that the candle melts to the edge or that the top layer is liquid, this will assist with even burn for the life of your candle. Failed to burn the first burn to the edge will cause the tunnelling effect, in turn not allowing you to enjoy your candle for its full use.

In short, yes you can. Simply clean the jar using hot, soapy water. Please remember DO NOT pour liquid wax down the drain, it will solidify in the pipes and clog the sink.
